FM support shown for Thank Your Cleaner Day

20 October 2021

FM service providers around the UK have been engaged in a variety of projects as a result of the Thank Your Cleaner Day.

This has been widely reported on social media, with LinkedIn and Twitter seeing numerous posts on the efforts to recognise the high levels of support provided by cleaning staff.

There has been a notable increase in recognition levels for cleaning staff, many of whom have worked throughout the ongoing pandemic.

This has resulted in the raising of status levels and seeing them regarded as key workers in the many efforts to control infection levels and keep facilities as safe as possible.

Thank Your Cleaner Day was first held in New Zealand in 2015 and has become a global initiative over the last six years.

It was organised by New Zealand’s Building Services Contractors (BSCNZ) association and supported by cleaning equipment provider Kärcher.

Those engaging with today’s efforts include Q3 Services and JS Rutherfoord, along with many other cleaning and FM service providers around the UK, several of which are engaged in international operations.

Further information on Thank Your Cleaning Day is available here.
