Acquisition of ground service provider confirmed

08 April 2021

Grounds Care Group has announced it has completed the acquisition of Green & Tidy Landscapes for an undisclosed sum.

According to the official announcement released yesterday, the purchase of the Oxfordshire-based business is designed to strengthen its new owner's presence in the Thames Valley region.

No redundancies are planned as a result of the purchase and the Green & Tidy staff, equipment and facilities in Moulsford, Oxfordshire will be taken on by Grounds Care Group.

This will allow the company for further extend its geographical coverage and expertise in areas including gritting, grounds maintenance, invasive weed removal, tree works and soft landscaping.

The Green & Tidy identity will continue to operate across the Thames Valley region initially, which has been in existence since 1987.

However, it will be absorbed into the Grounds Care Group from November this year.

The company has also stated that the acquisition is part of its ambition to extend its service provision across the South of England.

Chief executive officer Adam Brindle said the purchase provided "a fantastic opportunity and a significant milestone in our strategy to create a group offering clients the very best landscape maintenance, invasive weed removal and winter gritting services".

He further stated that the two companies shared similar values and a focus on the provision of high quality grounds maintenance services.

Grounds Care Group is based in Cobham, Surrey and was assisted in its recent acquisition by CMC Business Advisors.
