Technology focus for the PFM February special feature

The latest restrictions to deal with the spread of Covid-19 are seen as proof positive by everyone at PFM that it is essential to continue our series of special features for the foreseeable future.

Having published our January issue earlier this week, we have confirmed the topic for our February special feature as being Supporting Technology, which is intended to show the various options employed by FMs and service providers to deal with the various impacts of the virus.

Members of the PFM Editorial Advisory Board have outlined a number of areas where technology has helped them to continue to manage their facilities throughout lockdown and reopening, while continuing to support clients and colleagues in working to the best of their abilities.

There are numerous instances where technology has been essential in redesigning workplaces to ensure they remain compliant and safe to work in, while systems have been used to ensure that workers are supplied with the best advice and equipment wherever they complete their daily tasks.

While some FMs and service providers have extended their use of existing systems, others have turned to additional alternatives, as evidenced by the increased sales reported by a number of suppliers last year.

Those wishing to provide comment to our latest special feature are invited to provide up to 250 words of strategic comment on the topic above by 18 January, including details of the author so these can be attributed accordingly, while avoiding mention of company or product names in the statement itself.
