Health & Safety: Bryan to board role at Samsic UK

18 November 2020

Facility management services provider Samsic UK has appointed Andrew Bryan to the role of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Director.

He brings to the position over 25 years' experience in related senior management roles across business sectors spanning FMCG and retail to facilities and manufacturing.

Bryan joined Samsic UK in 2017 as Compliance and Health & Safety Manager and has overseen a revised and more integrated strategy for ensuring compliance with UK legislation embedded into its ISO.9001, ISO.14001 and ISO.45001 management systems.

The newly-created role of SHEQ Director measures the constantly-evolving nature and importance of health and safety to the operational integrity of Samsic's business.

Says UK CEO Jonathan King: "People are the principal assets of our business and key to its growth and development.

"The new SHEQ board role reflects our prioritising the health and security of Samsic's and its customers' communities and Andy Bryan is ideally-placed to fill it."

Since joining Samsic UK, Andy has initiated the development of a positive culture of continuous improvement, with increased efficiencies prompting the reduction of the company's service impact on the environment.

Says Andy: "It's a privilege to be taking on a newly-formed role at board level. We have a number of projects to develop next year and I'm looking forward to managing the expansion of our environmental and CSR strategy and its roll-out across the business and our client base."
