UKWSL wins Best Business Award

UKWSL is one of the UK’s leading waste brokers. The Newark based business which provides services to business across the UK, was recognised for its innovative approach to sustainable waste management.

The BBAs pride themselves on having a large panel of independent expert judges who select winners according to strict criteria for each category and sector.

Commenting on UKWSL, the winner in the Best Small to Medium-sized Business category, the chairman of the judges said: “Congratulations to UKWSL for making a tremendous contribution to improving waste management particularly in the area of landfill diversion.

"It has saved 99% of its clients’ trash from landfill sites, which has helped them reach their target of zero waste going to landfill sites.

"This is a fantastic achievement that has resulted in UKWSL being identified as one of London Stock Exchange Group’s 1,000 companies to Inspire Britain and one of the fastest-growing SMEs. With waste management a major issue, it’s great to see positive action being taken.”
