Medium value framework members confirmed for NWCH

03 September 2019

Confirmation of the successful bidders to have successfully completed an invitation to tender (ITT) process has been published by the North West Construction Hub (NWCH).

Supported by Manchester City Council, the ITT process is designed to allow applicants to demonstrate the ability to deliver high quality, value for money public sector projects.

Candidates were also tasked with showing the positive impact they were capable of providing to local communities through the inclusion of long-term benefits.

The inference is that successful companies will not be selected by merely providing the lowest price.

Successful contractors have now been selected to bid for projects of between £1m and £5m across North West England.

NWCH has five lots of medium value construction projects divided between Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire.

The sixth lot is for projects of between £5m and £10 and includes the North West in general.

NWCH states that it is much more than just a public sector procurement framework, as projects are designed to provide value to the people and places in the local area.

The projects are also designed to provide the opportunity for local people to gain employment and skills, providing further benefits for communities.

The full list of successful candidates named as preferred bidders within the six lots can be viewed here.
