Derwent FM has secured a five-year contract worth almost £4.3m to provide facilities management services for LaSalle Investment Management on three of its client’s student accommodation assets

Derwent FM has secured a five-year contract worth almost £4.3m to provide facilities management services for LaSalle Investment Management on three of its client’s student accommodation assets.

The deal will see the national provider deliver hard and soft facilities management services for Shand House, a 193 bedroom student residence in Cardiff; the Hub, a 93 bedroom facility in London and the Mews in Oxford, which has 112 bedrooms.

Derwent FM will provide maintenance, cleaning, post, laundry, security and key Holding, IT & internet and utilities management. It will also undertake a number of student services including marketing, lettings, rent setting, relationship management and room allocations.

John Yeend, director, LaSalle Investment Management, said: “The three assets are located in established university cities where there is strong demand for high specification accommodation. We sought to identify a facilities management service provider that would be able to deliver a service to match the assets’ premium brand. Derwent FM’s significant experience in the student accommodation sector and reputation for seamless delivery made them the natural choice for these assets.”
