Sponsored: Ultra Floor’s contract flooring solutions for sub-floor preparation

21 August 2013

Ultra Floor’s contract flooring solutions for sub-floor preparation have, it is said, been used to transform retail outlets across the UK and continue to be the materials of choice for today’s busy contractor looking to achieve a high performance installation

Ultra Floor’s flooring compound, Level IT three Super Bond and polymer emulsion primer for non-porous substrates, Prime IT N, were used to transform part of an IKEA store in Warrington. Level IT three Super Bond is suitable for use over sound, thin applications of old adhesive residue, which was ideal for this refurbishment project.

UK sporting retailer Sports Direct has remodelled some of its stores using a selection of products from the Ultra Floor range. This included Level IT super30 rapid curing and drying smoothing compound which uses specially blended cements and a high quality polymer liquid to give a product that sets in 30 minutes whilst enabling impervious floor coverings to be laid after just three hours.

Patch repairs were carried out using Ultra Floor’s Patch IT 45 fast setting mortar, with a walk on time of just 30 minutes, it is ideal as a quick fix enabling works to continue even when unexpected problems are found on site.

Subfloor preparation and floor covering installation has been carried out at a number of Apple stores across the UK to lay 600 x 600mm Noraplan rubber tiles, using Prime IT AR, acrylic emulsion primer and Level IT two high strength smoothing compound. Prime IT AR is suitable for absorbent subfloors and as a barrier primer prior to applying a smoothing compound.

Level IT two is reputed to be the easiest latex to apply and offers superior flow and handling characteristics. Designed with a controlled curing profile, it offers minimal shrinkage or surface grazing upon curing.

Stores within The Arcadia Group, Laura Ashley, Tommy Hilfiger and Harrods, to name but a few, have all undergone refurbishment work using Ultra Floor’s proven, high specification products, which make a befitting addition to these successful retail brands.
