Derwent FM appoints operations director

Facilities management and student accommodation specialist, Derwent FM, has appointed Graham Rogers as Operations Director. He joins the company from Hull-based KC, part of the KCOM Group, where he was head of commercial. Based at the company’s Harrogate head office, Mr Rogers, 35, will manage the senior operations team.

He will also have overall responsibility for the management of all FM sites for Derwent’s university partnerships including Aston, Essex and Hertfordshire, as well as Derwent Students’ direct let accommodation portfolio across the country including London, Birmingham, Cambridge, York, Carlisle and Glasgow.

Rogers will oversee Derwent FM’s student services, cleaning and maintenance, facilities management and document management services.

Martin Corbett, managing director, Derwent FM, said: “In the last three years the company has grown considerably and, with the addition of several new client partnerships and over £250m of new contracts in recent months, the time is now right for us add to our senior team. Graham brings a wealth of experience to the company and he will be a great asset to the business.”

Graham Rogers said: “I am delighted to join Derwent FM at this time of significant growth. Since joining the company I have been impressed with the level of dedication and commitment I’ve witnessed to both the business and its clients. My role is to provide support and guidance for the operations team and ensure we have the appropriate processes, structure and culture in place to deliver against the strategic objectives of the company. I will be promoting a culture of continuous process improvement to ensure that we continue to provide a high-quality and value-for-money service for our clients.”

Prior to his role at KC, Rogers, who has a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, held various financial positions with Carl Bro Group and Engage before moving into commercial management with Ventura (now Capita). In his spare time he enjoys family time, golf and cycling.
