Honeywell awarded service contract at University of Manchester Innovation Centre

Honeywell has been awarded a three-year service contract at the University of Manchester Innovation Centre (UMIC) to maintain essential building services for the multi-building site, where more than 60 companies maintain offices and laboratories

UMIC is a market leader in providing high quality state of the art biotech and hi-tech facilities across several buildings. Its portfolio includes 260,000 sqft of bioscience incubator facilities, 16 turnkey and four modular laboratory suites andhigh specification office space, in addition to modern conference and events facilities. UMICaims to provide a vibrant supportive environment that allows its tenants the freedom to concentrate on their core business activities.

To maximise plant and equipment uptime, a resident HBSengineer will conduct daily performance-based maintenance on all of the building’s business-critical assets and will respond to any equipment failures. When required, Honeywell’s external service teamswill support the on-site resource in order to minimise downtime and to ensure that tenants are not adversely affected.
