VINCI 'takes lead on green deal and eco'

VINCI Facilities says it has confirmed its expertise on the Green Deal and Energy Company Obligations (ECO) with its accreditation as an approved installer following its recent certification to PAS 2030:2012

VINCI says it's showcasing its Green Deal and ECO credentials at Base London next week on 11 July in n effort to build on its reputation in energy management and ensuring social housing tenants have warm, healthy and environmentally friendly homes. The company says gaining PAS 2030 confirms its reputation.

The purpose of PAS 2030 is to ensure a robust approach to the installation of energy efficiency measures under the new flagship policies in the Green Deal and the Energy Company Obligations. The PAS 2030 defines the Quality Management Systems and Installation Processes and procedures to be used a part of Green Deal Code of Practice.

''VINCI now has over 20 years of experience delivering planned and reactive maintenance in social housing,'' the company says. ''Its regionally based teams understand and focus on the central issue in creating and maintaining sustainable homes – it is all about putting the tenant or homeowner first.

''That focus helps VINCI work with tenants and partners to best understand and benefit from the Green Deal, the governments flagship policy aimed at helping landlords, homeowners and business to lower their energy consumption.''

The company says the Green Deal is about more than refurbishment, but is rather about taking action that improves the living standards of social housing residents and changes behaviours and acts as a catalyst to the regeneration of the wider area.

The Green Deal and ECO provision is a challenging but exciting undertaking and the ripple effect will potentially be far reaching.
