20th PFM Awards: Finalists revealed!

04 July 2013

At last - after months of intense preparation and nervous apprehension - the wait is finally over! The finalists for the 20th PFM Awards, to be held The Brewery in London on 6 November, have been announced. Now it only remains for the judges to visit each finalist. Find out below who they are - and in which category they'll appear.

This year's Awards is the 20th, and has progressed from the first year when there was only one category and three finalists. It has grown phenomenally in prestige since then, and this year is its 20th anniversary.

This year there are 8 categories in the Partnership categories plus Partnering Team Member Award, the Peter Middup Lifetime Achievement in FM Award and the FMA Young Manager Award, as well as the Overall Winner Award.

Two new categories have been created to accommodate plentiful entries in the Partnership categories: Partners in FM Corporate – Public Sector and Partners in Expert Services – IT.

Entries have come in from from all over the country covering facilities ranging from military barracks and a nuclear power station, to corporate offices, local government and public sector organisations. The number and quality of entries this year is indicative of the continuing confidence of FM service providers and their clients that excellent facilities management makes a real difference when economic circumstances are challenging.

While Partnership working is increasingly the norm in the FM sector, there is indication that more partnerships are looking for deeper and more sustainable relationship by their recognition of the value of the BS11000 standard for Collaborative Working.
