Saracen 'celebrates success of small works'

Six months on from the launch of its Small Works division, interiors specialist, Saracen Interiors has announced this latest offering has almost tripled its turnover in the last three months owing to repeat business from existing customers and referrals which has accounted for approximately 60% of the order book.

Launched in February 2013 alongside Saracen Facilities and Saracen Move Management, Saracen Small Works’s services include smaller design and build projects, alterations to existing space, re-decoration, modifications to power and data, general upgrading and updating, relocation of staff, furniture and work stations and the sourcing and supplying of new furniture. The company aimed to deliver a microcosm of the one-stop shop with this division, which prides itself on offering an expert service no matter how small or irregular the job is.

Joint managing director of Saracen Interiors, Michael Page explains: “We made a very clear statement with the launch of our Small Works division and that is that we are not prepared to compromise on the smaller jobs. Our existing customers know that we give 100 per cent and take on each job with commitment and enthusiasm and our approach to Saracen Small Works is no different.

“We always field professionals who are not just adept at the job in hand but who also have the knowledge and experience to problem solve and to recognise how the little job fits into the bigger picture. Certainly, we have rapidly acquired a list of satisfied customers who have been more than happy to recommend us and we are already enjoying a high percentage of repeat business from companies who want to work with a contractor who takes the low cost jobs as seriously as the high value contracts.”

The services offered by Saracen Small Works complement those offered by the other divisions. Based in the South East, the team is rapidly expanding in order to manage its growth and the successes of the last twelve months which have seen Saracen win some of its largest contracts to-date as well as the launch of the new divisions.

Saracen’s recent clients include KFC, Paragon Community Housing Group, TE Connectivity, Aspect Property Group, Flight Safety, CH2M Hill, Countrywide PLC, Knight Frank, Mitie Engineering, Pizza Hut, Redrow, Soccer World, Thames Water, Toshiba, Trident Trust, Viatel, BAE Systems, Sue Ryder Care, Sandhurst School, North Surrey Primary Care Trust, Royal Berkshire and Battle Hospital NHS Trust.
