Zonal increases response times with ByBox Locker Service

Zonal Retail Data Systems, a UK supplier of end-to-end EPoS solutions for the hospitality industry has started using a seven day delivery service offered by ByBox. Operating 365 days a year, the service involves deliveries being made to a locker network, rather than to a home address or depot.

The service is said to make the process of delivering and returning parts easier and more convenient for Zonal’s engineers; parts can be ordered up to 11pm and delivered into the lockers before 8am the next day. Engineers are alerted by text and email when parts are delivered and can then collect with ease using a custom card or key.

Using the locker delivery method, Zonal’s engineers are able to install, repair and replace EPoS systems easier and faster, this is crucial for Zonal’s customers who rely on the systems to manage their sites and estates more effectively and to generate larger profit margins. Engineers can also return items with ease by simply placing bespoke labels onto parts and placing them in a locker - ByBox then ensures they get to the correct return destination. The process is quick, convenient and has led to increased efficiency.

With the lockers located at convenient locations such as petrol stations, supermarkets, shopping centres and sports grounds, they are within close proximity of engineers, allowing parts to be collected and returned with minimal fuss.

Zonal’s software and purpose built hardware is installed in pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels and a diverse range of leisure complexes, such as football stadiums, theatres, clubs, holiday villages and bowling alleys. Its customers include Fullers, Greene King, JD Wetherspoon, Regent Inns, Belhaven, Bourne Leisure, Newcastle United Football Club, Outback Restaurants and Ministry of Sound.

With many of its customers operating seven days a week, Zonal knew it needed a distribution method which did the same. ByBox produced a bespoke service package which met their needs; the lockers are accessible 24 hours a day and ByBox has a first time pre 8am delivery success rate of 99.77%.
