Gilgen launches Safeguard range of automatic door maintenance agreements

29 May 2013

Gilgen Door Systems has launched a range of flexible maintenance contracts covering automatic doors, industrial doors and barrier systems

Gilgen Safeguard agreements give Facilities Managers complete control over their service levels and budget, helping to ensure maximum uptime, improved safety and reduced door maintenance and repair costs.

Gilgen, formerly known as Kaba Door Systems in the UK, promises to beat any competitive quote based on the same service level for clients with ten or more automatic or industrial door systems. Its Safeguard agreements provide a flexible range of planned maintenance solutions and emergency cover for all types of commercial, industrial or public sector premises.

General Manager of After Sales at Gilgen, Mike James explains “Our experience of maintaining automatic and industrial door systems for blue chip clients over the last 50 years gives us a unique understanding of access solutions in different applications and industries. Our maintenance packages are designed to give us the flexibility to match a solution to customers’ needs so they get the right level of service and lowest running costs for their business”.

Gilgen Safeguard maintenance agreements enable customers to have complete control of their service levels and budget. The flexible plans are available in two distinct packages; Safeguard Classic® and Safeguard Corporate®. The Safeguard Classic agreement offers all the usual benefits you would expect from a market leading service provider including full national coverage and a guaranteed response time within 4hours. Safeguard Corporate is aimed at companies who see door up-time as a high priority and want to benefit from a higher level of response, dedicated account management, a single point of contact for call handling and many other added value benefits.

Uniquely Safeguard maintenance packages are offered with standard, semi-comprehensive or fully comprehensive payment terms. This means customers have the flexibility to choose a service level and payment plan that is right for their business.

Gilgen operates a national service team of 90 professional mobile engineers who are trained and equipped to maintain and repair automatic and industrial doors of any make or type. The company also maintains gate and barrier systems, fire shutters and loading bay equipment.

GPS enabled service van tracking and state-of-the-art service management systems helpfacilitate fast national response and a high rate of first time fix, 24/7, 365 days a year. The company offers a national technical helpline providing advice, whilst its maintenance agreements also help to ensure compliance with BS7036 and EN16005 code of practice for use of automatic door systems.
