Facilities Show welcomes host of exhibitors to 2014 event in London

10 May 2013

Facilities Show 2013 takes place next week in Birmingham’s NEC for the last time before it moves to ExCel London with a number of companies already confirmed to participate

In February the organiser of Facilities Show, UBM Live, announced that the world’s largest event solely dedicated to facilities management would be relocating to London’s ExCeL from 2014. With just a few days to go until Facilities Show 2013, excitement is already building for the move with a number of exhibitors, partners and associations confirming that they will also make the move to London in 2014.

MITIE, the FTSE 250 strategic outsourcing company, who join Facilities Show this year as show partners will extend this commitment for another two years when the show takes up it new home at ExCeL London.

Leading associations within the FM sector, the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM and the Facilities Management Association (FMA), have also endorsed the move to London, highlighting the benefits this will offer the industry.

“BIFM is delighted to continue to work in partnership with UBM Live to deliver the Facilities Show in 2014 and beyond, wholeheartedly supporting the move to London’s ExCeL. Facilities Show is a major industry event and a move to London seems the natural progression for the show at a time the industry itself has seen rapid growth and diversification. As the role and significance of FM continues to grow it is important that we can raise the profile of our sector on a global scale, moving the show from Birmingham to London will help us to achieve this, “ stated Gareth Tancred the BIFM Chief Executive Officer.

Additionally, a number of leading brands working across the full spectrum of facilities management have also confirmed that they will be exhibiting in 2014 including Grundon Waste Management, MITIE, PHS group, Planon Software, Shred Station, LTT vending Group, Screwfix Direct, Euroworkspace, The PURE Water Company and Easy Innovations along with many others.

Bradley Smith, Sales Manager and Head of Contract Management at Grundon Waste Management Ltd, said: “Grundon Waste Management is delighted to be heading to London in 2014 for the annual Facilities Show - we look forward to this event each year as it does such a great job of bringing the whole FM profession together. It’s an excellent opportunity to meet facilities managers and discuss the ways in which Grundon can help them meet their recycling and environmental targets. We have seen the show grow in stature over the past few years and view the move to London as an opportunity to welcome even more visitors to our stand.”

The flagship trade event will once again run alongside Safety & Health Expo, IFSEC International and Firex International as part of the Protection and Management Series which are all free to attend for registered visitors.
