Foremans launches new website

08 May 2013

Foremans Relocatable Building Systems, supplier of pre-owned Portakabin buildings, has launched a new website to meet the rising demand for second hand modular buildings

The new site, www.foremansbuildings.co.uk, has a number of key features, including:

* Layout options for both cabins and larger modular buildings so potential users can visualise their own accommodation
* Many more images to illustrate the potential uses and quality of refurbished Portakabin buildings
* Clear and simple navigation to allow users to access specification information more quickly
* Case studies in sectors including health, education, utilities, commercial, transport and construction that demonstrate the variety of design possibilities and applications
* The wide range of exterior and interior options now available for second hand Portakabin buildings – such as windows, cladding, steps, ramps, roofing, colours, flooring, air conditioning and security systems
* The sustainability advantages of pre-owned modular solutions
* Special offers on buildings that are available on an ‘as seen’ basis
* A series of informative industry reports that can be downloaded from the site – such as advice on submitting successful planning applications, how to implement a risk management policy and how to procure a used modular building
* Advice on how to sell a building that has become surplus to requirements.

Commenting on the new website, Mike Williams, Managing Director of Foremans, said “Many building specifiers and users are just not aware of the quality of pre-owned Portakabin buildings – and of the scale, flexibility and speed of delivery of the approach – for interim as well as permanent use.”

“Our aim with the new site is to showcase the best applications of our buildings from across the UK to provide visitors with a really useful source of information to help the procurement process – from the specification of layouts, colours and finishes, to finance options, and the full range of planning, design and refurbishment services that we can provide.”

Foremans’ approach to building offers all the advantages of off-site construction – speed, quality and less disruption – with the additional benefits of exceptional value for money and a higher degree of sustainability because the modules supplied are pre-owned and refurbished.

The use of recycled Portakabin buildings is an environmentally sound alternative to demolishing and disposing of traditionally-built buildings in landfill sites. The modules can be upgraded and reconfigured by Foremans to clients’ specific requirements, for either permanent or interim accommodation. This minimises waste and energy consumption, and allows other organisations to benefit from the advantages of off-site construction.

Foremans’ buildings can be hired or purchased in single and multi-storey configurations and can be designed and refurbished for a wide variety of uses, including offices, teaching blocks, sixth form centres, transport depots, and hospital ward accommodation.

Foremans will also purchase quality steel-framed modular buildings which have become surplus to requirements and will undertake the safe dismantling and removal operations with the minimum disruption.

Operating from its production and visitor centres in East Yorkshire in the north and Hemel Hempstead in the south east, Foremans offers a full range of construction services, including planning advice and submissions, Building Regulations approvals, and all aspects of project management, ground works, fitting out, delivery, site installation, testing and commissioning.
