Contract caterer Elior UK has been rewarded with the platinum ranking in the Business In the 2013 Community Corporate Responsibility Index, thanks to its focused commitment on sustainable business practices

As the top scoring company in the contract catering field, Elior has achieved significantly better scores than the industry average in several areas including training senior managers and board members, improving climate change and waste managementperformance.

Carl Morris Marketing Director, Elior UK says: “Every company has a responsibility to do business in a sustainable way and this recognition is testament to the time and investment we have given to it. We believe corporate responsibility is a continuous journey of improvement, so that operating sustainably becomes an every day, intrinsic part of our business for every employee.”

News of the BITC recognition comes shortly after Elior UK was ranked the first ever contract caterer in the Sunday Times Best Big 25 Companies to Work For, positioning it as leader in the hospitality and the UK employment market as a whole.

Tim Hammond, Chief Executive, Elior UK added: “We’re delighted to receive these two prestigious titles in the space of a few weeks. They highlight our dedication to creating the best experience for our customers and demonstrating best practice in the industry.”
