Charter Security provides 24/7 lift entrapment services to FMs

25 April 2013

Charter Security has been providing this service across 100 sites for a major client in the City for the past 10 years. The technology immediately identifies the location of the entrapment, allowing us to direct emergency services or lift engineers to the location quickly

Calls are answered promptly handled sensitively and recorded. We provide clients with statistics on entrapment calls including, our response time, duration and frequency. Recordings of entrapment calls can be made available to a client if required. Being trapped in a lift is a frightening experience; since 2011 the London Fire Brigade charges for attending non-emergency calls to release a person shut in a lift. Charges are levied on the third lift release at the same building within a year and for all subsequent non-emergency lift releases.
