Servest appoints learning and development manager

John Robinson will lead training for fast-developing facilities services provider

Servest has appointed John Robinson as Learning and Development Manager.

He will lead a programme of high quality training for individuals and teams across the Servest group. The company now employs over 13,500 people in the UK and is integrating two major acquisitions, Stag Security and 7 Day Catering.

Servest is opening a new, dedicated training facility near its Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk headquarters.

The new role includesmapping core competencies,identifying training needs, knowledge management, development and implementation of training programmes, career development and managing the training centre.

Robinson spent over seven years as a learning and development consultant at financial services firm Aviva.He also spent time as a business coach, implementing daily communication and removing barriers to delivering great customer service. Before joining Aviva he worked in the hospitality industry, retail and public service.

“I’m delighted to be joining Servest at this exciting time in the company’s development,” said Robinson, “Facilities management is, above all, a people business, so training and development is crucial to service delivery.”
