Award for 'outstanding Sodexo district manager'

Sodexo’s Jason Bendell has won the Contract Catering District Manager category of the prestigious Cost Sector Catering Awards

Jason, a senior account manager for Sodexo Prestige and Corporate Services, was presented with the accolade at a glittering awards dinner at the Hilton London Metropole Hotel.

The Cost Sector Catering Awards pay tribute to outstanding professionals in the multi-million pound, high volume side of the catering industry.

The judges were particularly impressed by a ringing endorsement of Jason from senior Sodexo managers: “If this person’s skills could be bottled and sent out across the business we would have a level of account management like no other.”

Jason, from Southampton, heads a team of 174 working for 16 clients in 22 locations between the furthest tip of South Wales and London. His team delivers services, including catering, cleaning and gardening, at diverse client sites which range from traditional company offices to a medieval palace, and a gas terminal to a court house.

Jason, who has been in his current position for nearly four years, said: “I was very proud to have been honoured at these awards. It felt like recognition not just for me, but also for my team. I am only as good as the 174 people behind me. They make my job easier by doing their jobs well. I am lucky to work with some great people.”
