The next generation in lighting

05 April 2013

Collingwood Lighting has launched its energy efficient, low glare LED – the Halers H5 500

The H5 500 is Collingwood’s latest addition to its Halers LED range - available in symmetric and asymmetric versions, the Halers H5 500 offers numerous possibilities for lighting designers and specifiers.

Both versions produce 550 lumens in neutral white and 470 lumens in warm white. As a result, the Halers H5 500 is proven to be 83% more energy efficient than a typical 50W halogen fitting.

The symmetric version features a beam angle of 40° with a recessed low glare down light, specifically pointing the source of light downwards, delivering greater illumination at floor level. The asymmetric version offers a recessed low glare down light with a beam angle of 40° that is tilted at a fixed 20° angle - this effectively delivers two light pools at opposing angles, helping to improve vertical illumination.

From an aesthetic perspective, the Halers H5 500 is available in three round bezels, white, chrome and brushed steel. To enable retrofitting into large ceiling holes, measuring up to 150mm, a choice of three converter plates are also available to match the range of bezels.

Kate Jackson, Group Marketing Director from Collingwood Lighting said: “The real beauty of this product is the H5 500’s low glare offering a discrete fitting, enabling the eye to focus on the light and not the light source. Available in a range of set up options, the Halers H5 500 allows for light to be angled to the exact area where it is required - due to its low glare qualities too, the H5 500 is suitable for use in a whole host of locations making it extremely versatile. Taking its incredible energy efficiency rating into consideration too, the H5 500 is a fantastic ‘all round’ fitting and a proud member of our ever expanding Halers LED range.”
