Consultancy 'drives Mayfair project success'

02 April 2013

London-based building consultancy firm Powell Williams has completed a schedule of dilapidations on a Grade II listed Mayfair townhouse adjacent to the Embassy of the United States

Acting on behalf of its client, Dukeminster, historic building specialist Powell Williams assessed the 10,000 sq ft premises on London’s Upper Grosvenor Street and assisted Dukeminster by organising the tendering of works and the administration of a contract for external building refurbishment.

Andrew Marshall, Partner for Powell Williams, said: “We had to overcome a number of challenges with this project, including the need to access the adjoining US Embassy grounds to complete the dilapidations schedule.”

This is the latest project for the firm, which has a London office on Great Marlborough Street and provides expert advice on behalf of a number of clients, including BP, Standard Life and Aviva.

Marshall continues: “Projects of this type require extensive knowledge of the Dilapidations Pre-Action Protocol and current case law and we were able to use our experience to offer expert advice and ensure a favourable outcome for our client.”
