NG Bailey's facilities services division celebrates 2012 success

NG Bailey’s Facilities Services division is celebrating a successful performance in 2012, having secured more than £16m of new business across the year and boasting a strong forward order book for the 2013/2014 financial year

The division’s performance is its strongest to date and follows 12 months’ significant growth. Major customer wins in 2012 included Eversheds and Linklaters and the division also extended relationships with key existing clients, such as Land Securities.

To manage the increase in workload, the division significantly increased its head count in 2012, taking on 106 new employees and bringing the division’s total to 470 – a 29 per cent increase on last year.

The division also employs nine apprentices – three of which were taken on in 2012 as a result of new contract wins. This demonstrates NG Bailey’s ongoing commitment to developing and training future talent through its apprenticeship scheme.

Stuart Linington, managing director of the Facilities Services division, said: “We have a fantastic reputation for reliability, quality and breadth of service. This has been reflected in our performance over the last year and in the calibre of clients that we have brought on board or expanded our relationships with.

“Our fantastic contract portfolio stands us in excellent stead for a strong 2013 and we look forward to moving into new markets this year, including the financial services sector, where we see significant potential to grow further – due to our service ethic and high quality of delivery.

“Our apprenticeship scheme is also going from strength to strength, which is fantastic.”

David Hurcomb, chief executive at NG Bailey, added: “The Facilities Services division’s strong performance is testament to the team’s hard work and commitment over the last 12 months.

“The market remains very tough and the next year will not be easy. However, the division’s strong reputation and service delivery means they are in a strong position to achieve a positive result in 2013, despite the current economic challenges.”
