MacDonald returns to FM consultancy

16 January 2013

Turner & Townsend has recruited David MacDonald to join the UK Asset and Facilities Management team.

Following 11 years running FM contracting companies BAM FM and Robertson FM, the move marks a return to Turner & Townsend for Chartered Surveyor, MacDonald, who was previously an Associate Director in the FM consultancy division between 1998 and 2001.

Employing his experience in both the consultancy and contracting fields, MacDonald will be taking up a strategic position, spearheading the development of the FM team and allowing Turner & Townsend to provide an even greater depth of service to its clients.

Commenting on his new role, Turner & Townsend director, David MacDonald, said: “The way we work is changing just as rapidly as the information technologies available to us and the knock-on effect has been an increased spend on property and infrastructure for companies.

“But whilst clients’ requirements may have become more sophisticated, so too has the requirement for cost savings increased. I look forward to supporting Turner & Townsend as it assists its clients in seeking a closer alignment between their business strategy and assets, and in driving greater value from their investments in property and support services.

“It is a joy to come back to a company with such in-depth knowledge of the market and to meet a brief which stretches across the UK, and potentially beyond, and provides the opportunity to build on my experience and strengthen areas of the team’s already well-established output.”
