WANDSWORTH INVITES KNX USERS TO TAKE SMART CONTROL

08 January 2013

KNX innovator Albrecht Jung have made control of an intelligent home or office simpler and more stylish than ever with the launch of the new Jung KNX Smart Control.

Designed to offer the sleek appearance and intuitive operation of a smart phone, the compact, wall-mounted unit enables the end user to control multiple room functions, including lights, blinds, shutters and temperature controls. The simple-to-use touchscreen and sensory buttons reduce the complexity of room functions and present controls in a format that is already familiar and accessible.

Enabling the end user to change pages, scroll and control like a smart phone, the KNX Smart Control lets users select individual rooms and functions with convenient sliders for dimming, adjusting blinds and setting the ideal temperature. The unit can even be customised, using the ‘homepage’ and ‘favourites’ page options to provide fast, direct access to their most frequently used functions and locations.

The advanced functionality of the new KNX Smart Control is matched by its chic aesthetics. Its flat screen design has been developed to co-ordinate with the Jung LS range of wiring accessory frames. As a result, the KNX Smart Control not only looks discreet and elegant on the wall but it can also be co-ordinated effortlessly with an existing electrical installation.

The Wandsworth Group is the exclusive UK distributor of the Jung range of KNX intelligent control systems and wiring accessories. Explains The Wandsworth Group’s KNX technical specialist, Gordon Fry: “Sometimes people can be put off specifying a KNX system because the technology is very advanced and they mistakenly think that means you need to be technically-minded to use it. This is simply not the case: KNX systems offer ease of operation and complete flexibility for the end user and now, with the launch of the new KNX Smart Control, we can confidently tell customers that if they can use a smart phone, they can operate a KNX intelligent home installation.”
