Inteb makes green deal with trainer

02 January 2013

Sustainability and low energy solutions company, Inteb Sustainability Limited, has appointmented an experienced Training Services Manager in Steve Williams.

Inteb, based at the Rural Business Centre at Myerscough, became one of only two Government-accredited Green Deal Providers for the corporate real estate sector in October. Prior to enjoying that accolade, it had already written training courses for leading colleges around the country, as well as being appointed as the official training partner of the National Skills Academy for Environmental Technologies (NSAET).

Inteb’s experience in the sector had also led to it developing bespoke, in-house training courses for the large number of positions that Green Deal will create for Installers and Advisors. Inteb estimates that it alone will create 450 jobs and is already training people into some of these important roles including Domestic and Non-Domestic Green Deal Advisors.

Steve Williams’ remit will be to drive this training programme forward, while also co-ordinating it nationwide. He was formerly an energy consultant of his own company, Williams Energy, in Bournemouth. There, his responsibilities included energy and air conditioning auditing and certification, energy consumption analysis, building surveys, and the provision of end-to-end energy solutions.

More specifically, he was also a coursework assessor and instructor for the Level 3 & 4 Non Domestic energy Assessor course for both City & Guilds and The Awarding Body for the Built Environment (ABBE) qualification route.

Steve also brings experience in air conditioning and refrigeration to the table and has a background and qualifications in general engineering.

Inteb’s CEO, Philip Hargreaves, says: “We are delighted to have Steve join our dynamic team, particularly as it helps us drive our training programme forward at a key time for Inteb. Our position in Green Deal, where we are providing a total end-to-end service, from training to financial packages provision, means that we need high flyers throughout the team, at every level, who can contribute to our mission to always demonstrate technical leadership, customer intimacy, service innovation and high quality service delivery”.

Steve Williams, who is relocating from Bournemouth to work from Preston, says: “This opportunity to join a low energy and sustainability specialist of Inteb’s stature was too good to overlook. I am delighted to have been given the chance to work alongside some of the best sustainability consultants in Britain and look forward to playing my part in Inteb’s future through its training programme and training delivery”.
