Shaping Christmas at every height!

Specialist working at height expertise from Nationwide Platforms is helping bring the festive spirit to towns and cities across the UK.

Most recently, Nationwide Platforms have been called upon to provide powered access expertise to enable the installation and maintenance of huge Christmas lights at the Cabot Circus shopping centre in Bristol (pictured).

The powered access leader provided a Genie Z60/34, to help manage the overnight installation of the gigantic baubles, Christmas tree lights and a selection of other oversized decorations by design and install specialists James Glancy Design Limited.

The platform proved ideal, with the 20 metre articulating boom with fly-jib providing the installation team with the perfect height and outreach to work safely and effectively up-and-over obstacles.

Nationwide Platforms’ Sales Operations Director, Steve Simmons, helped co-ordinate the powered access solution for the task of installing the fantastic giant fairy lights. Speaking after completion, he said: “Working at height in a retail environment is often subject to strict time deadlines. That means it’s essential to provide only the most suitable equipment to overcome all challenges in the timeframe given.
