Cut food waste collections and improve hygiene with Meiko GTS vacuum food waste disposal

The Disperator GTS-Series offers a tailor-made food waste disposal solution.

Each GTS-System inlet will convert up to 300lt of food waste per day into liquid slurry.
Transported into a vacuum waste storage tank for collection by tanker, the slurry can be converted into renewable energy, biogas or an earth enhancing fertiliser, potentially earning the caterer Carbon Trading Credits.

Easy to operate and clean, it removes the hygiene, odour and pest control issues associated with storing raw food waste for conventional collection.

Meiko UK has shot a 4 minute video showing the GTS installation in use at the 4-star Lensbury and featuring interviews with Chef Brett Duarte and General Manager Ivor Turner.

Meiko UK also added a storage system for smaller volumes, based on Wheelie Bins.

Available for an installed total cost of below £30,000, the system provides a complete food waste disposal solution, consisting of the GTS food waste processor and associated food waste storage tank, inter-connecting pipework and a modular secure GRP housing for the tank, all of which is installed by Meiko’s fully-trained personnel over a 2/3 day period.
