Olympic photocall

Here is a repeated call for pictures from, and of, people from the FM sector working at the Olympics.

It seems that half the facilities management industry were either working at or visiting the Olympics. If you were one of them we are looking for your photos!

The idea is simple. In a future issue of PFM and possibly at our annual Awards night in November, I hope to run a photographic celebration of the FM sector’s contribution to the ‘greatest show on earth’.

So if you were working at or around the Olympics, or were a volunteer GamesMaker or just (like me) a visitor to the Games, I am looking for any pictures of the event that you would be happy to share with your fellow FMs. Captions would be preferred but are not a deal-breaker. Equally could you please state if you would or would not like a picture credit.

If any pictures show your company’s operations at an Olympic venue it may be an idea to get approval first as some of the Olympic rules regarding publicity remain resolutely, and disappointingly, rigid.

This is not a competition, just a bit of fun and a celebration of our sector’s involvement in the Olympics. I doubt many of us will be able to enjoy an Olympics on home soil again, so we may as well pat ourselves on our backs when we can!
