Werner® Makes it’s Debut at Safety & Health Expo

08 May 2012

VISITORS looking for something new at this year’s Expo will not be disappointed if they visit stand No.G60 where Werner® will be showcasing a completely new range of fibreglass ladders and stepladders.

Stand No. G60. Visitors will also get the chance to win a brand new 6-tread stepladder complete with a set of Lock-In™ accessories.

The health and safety benefits of fibreglass have led to this material accounting for 50 per cent of the US market. Aimed at the trade and professional user, Werner® products are non-conductive to 30,000 volts and are therefore ideal for working around electricity.

The unique Werner® Lock-In™ accessory system continues the safety theme by expanding the work surface available to users, providing a means to safely secure tools and equipment and, of course, by reducing the number of trips required up and down a ladder. These clever accessories allow users to match their ladder top to the task in hand.

On show will be a selection of Werner’s trade and industrial swingback and platform stepladders ranging in size from 4 to 14 treads, reach heights of 1.99m to 4.55m and product weights of 6 to 22.2kg. Complete with slip-resistant, traction-tread steps, they all comply with the requirements of BS EN 131.

A selection of other ladder and access products will be on display, and as an approved Ladder Association training centre, the company will be advocating the need for professional ladder training to ensure that users are both safe and competent and that the right equipment is used and selected.

Its new 40-page product catalogue will also be available from the stand. For more information please visit www.wernerladder.co.uk

Lock-In System:
After closely monitoring trade professionals using ladders in the workplace, Werner® quickly recognised that transporting the materials needed for the task inevitably involved multiple trips up and down the ladder. The solution was the Lock-In System TM – a significantly improved ladder top reconfigured to accommodate a series of time-saving accessories. These include the Paint Cup and Liner, the Utility Hook, The Tool Lasso, the Job Caddy and the Job Bucket.
