Academic appointments for Resource Services Group

25 April 2012

Resource Services Group has won three contracts with leading universities in the UK and Ireland with a potential total value of £17m

Resource has won business from the London School of Economic and Political Science (LSE), Dublin City University and Queen’s University Belfast. All three contracts are for a period of three years with options to extend. A total of 48 individual sites are covered by these contracts.
The London School of Economic and Political Science campus in central London has around 9,000 students drawn from 140 countries, as well as 3,000 staff. Dublin City University operates from an 85-acre campus close to the centre of Dublin catering for more than 11,000 students.
Queen’s University, Belfast has more than 25,000 postgraduate and undergraduate students.
Resource already provides cleaning and related services to Imperial College London which has about 14,000 students
Dave Seaton, Chief Executive of Resource Services Group, said: “Higher education is one of the specialist niche markets which our growth strategy has targeted. We’ve developed innovative services to recognise that universities and colleges need healthy, high performance, secure and sustainable environments during both term-time and vacation. We have to demonstrate that cleaning, hygiene, maintenance and other services will bring benefits to a broad range of stakeholders including students, staff, visitors, parents and the local community. Intelligent answers to the needs of higher education, as well as a cost-effective service, the use of environmentally-friendly materials and rigorous staff training have paid off for Resource in terms of winning these high-value contracts.”
