Seddon maintains Home contract

11 April 2012

Maintenance and painting specialist Seddon Property Services has been awarded a new five-year contract to provide reactive maintenance services by affordable housing provider Home Scotland, part of Home Group.

Home Scotland has chosen Seddon to provide responsive maintenance services to around 3,500 of its homes across Scotland from April 2012. Seddon expects to create up to 40 new jobs through the contract which was secured following a rigorous competitive tendering process. The contract is worth £15 million in total turnover and includes the option of a two-year extension.

Seddon will provide a range of repairs services for Home Scotland including joinery, painting, plumbing, gas services, plastering and roofing repairs.

“We are dedicated to providing first-class, customer-focused reactive maintenance services and are absolutely delighted to have been selected for this major contract to work with Home Scotland and its residents across the country,” says Neil Hand, joint managing director of Seddon Property Services. “We have been working with Home Scotland over the last five years and are very pleased that the award of this new, Scotland-wide contract will see the continuation of this successful partnership.”

Tim Wood, Home Group’s head of property procurement, said: “Home Scotland selected Seddon for this contract because we believe they will provide a value for money high quality service for our customers. We look forward to working with them.”
