Major moves on framework agreement

Harrow Green has been appointed to a national framework agreement as part of the Pro5 Group - a professional buying consortium with a combined purchasing power in excess of £2bn a year. The four-year contract will enable local authorities and the wider public sector to make considerable savings in this area.

The agreement will see Harrow Green, which has offices throughout the UK, undertake small and large furniture removals, specialist disposals and storage services to the public sector.

The Pro5 customer base currently encompasses schools, colleges and universities in addition to all major local government departments including Social Services, Catering, Transport, Highways, Building, Energy, Admin and Waste Management as well as the Emergency Services.

The framework enables users to avoid having to advertise via OJEU (the Official Journal of the European Union) and will provide pre-approved suppliers with the flexibility to either directly award contracts or to invite further competition to customise exact service requirements and maximise savings potential. It will also assist customers in improving environmental and sustainability performance.
