Servest acquires Turners

Servest Multi Service Group has acquired Turners Cleaning and Support Services. The new business will have a combined annualised turnover of around £70million which will advance Servest’s strategy to become one of the top five multi service providers in the UK.


“With its heavy focus on the public sector, Turners is a good key strategic fit for Servest as it provides diversification away from our current focus on the retail sector, providing a huge growth opportunity and long-term contracts,” said Stuart Buswell, Servest’s managing director, commercial and public sector.

Rob Legge, Servest’s UK group chief executive officer added: “The acquisition is part of our ambitious growth strategy to reach a turnover of £300 million over the next three years which we aim to achieve by a mixture of acquisition and organic growth.”

The combined business has an active sales pipeline together with long-term, high-profile contracts and a proven ability to deliver large multi service contracts. The current Servest management team will take up lead roles in the combined business led by Rob Legge, with Les Turner, director of operations at Turners and nephew of the founder Peter Turner, taking on a key business role. Peter Turner will retire.

The Turners acquisition follows Servest’s 2008 purchase of Sherwood, a provider of integrated on-site support services to blue chip businesses and public sector organisations.
