Modern Twists on Traditional Classics

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of British Food Fortnight (BFF) – 17 September to 2 October 2011 - OCS is inviting its customers to experience the best of traditional, tasty British dishes in all of its catering outlets.

OCS is a strong supporter of BFF and, this year, our artistic chefs have created classic dishes with a modern twist. Each dish has been designed to honour the favourite foods of our country, with every meal freshly prepared each day using British sourced products.

The mouth-watering menu includes favourites such as steak and mushroom pie, fish and chips with mushy peas, scotch eggs with plum chutney and shepherd’s pie cake with cream cabbage, all made with farm assured produce and Red Tractor certified food. Each day, OCS catering outlets will feature a minimum of four traditional dishes consisting of a soup starter with freshly made breads, a main course and desserts, along with a selection of tasty snacks.

Mark Nelson, Catering Director for OCS said, “OCS is committed to supporting British food, farmers and growers and it’s great to see that, year on year, more companies are committing to BFF. It is important to educate our markets about the benefits of using local suppliers where possible and we want our customers to understand our passionate support for this campaign.”
