X factor for FMs looking at AV

22 September 2011

A new event is now only weeks away that is dedicated to educating FMs about the increasingly important role Audiovisual communication technology plays in the workplace today.

XSolutions 2011 takes place at Excel in London on October 19-20 offers the facility manager a dedicated trade event to learn how the latest audiovisual communication and building management solutions can improve the efficiency of the business operation and how these technologies can automate and control the functionality required in today’s successful commercial operation.

Show Director Iain McLean said: “As technological progress continues to advance and shape the world we live in, the distinction between our work and our leisure time continues to dissolve. Businesses want access to the most accurate and recent data immediately and need to make decisions instantly. Therefore, the demands made by senior executives on their staff continue to increase.

“The complexity and scale of control systems in the modern commercial facility need state-of-the-art automation processes to ensure their smooth running. Failure in this area can have potentially catastrophic consequences. The facility manager lies at the hub of the diverse operational elements involved in today’s complex business operation.”

“This year’s inaugural event will take the facility manager out of his traditional mindset inorder to better understand the communication issues facing the organisation’s other stakeholders – C-level, IT, AV, electrical engineers and so on,” continued McLean. “ The event will provide parties in these multidisciplinary teams with a forum to bolster awareness of each other’s capabilities and technology requirements.”

Registration to the event is free and can be done online at, where there is also a host of further details about the show. If you would like to contact the organisers directly email
