Climaveneta’s i-Accurate brings efficiency and flexibility to close control

15 September 2011

The latest addition to Climaveneta’s Accurate range of close control air conditioning units is the i-Accurate series of direct expansion inverter compressor models, designed to maximise energy efficiency at partial cooling loads. These partial cooling loads account for around 75% of normal operating time in such applications.

Ideal for data centres and other business-critical areas, the i-Accurate series delivers high efficiency at all loads, with up to 50% savings compared to traditional on/off technology. It also provides more accurate control of temperature and humidity in response to changing conditions.Where required, i-Accurate DX models can be combined with a secondary chilled water circuit to provide free cooling when ambient temperatures permit.

Cooling capacities range from 7kW to 90kW, using DC brushless inverter compressors from models up to 30kW and AC inverters for higher capacities. Further energy savings, typically in the order of 15%, are achieved through the use of a new generation of fans with EC electronic switching technology – which also reduce noise levels by 4-5 dB(A).

In common with other models in the Accurate range, i-Accurate is designed to provide maximum sensible cooling, as is most appropriate to machinery, rather than latent cooling for people. The result is a high sensible heat ratio (SHR) that ranges from 0.95 minimum to 1.0 maximum.
