Nelson looks down on Olympic screens

27 July 2011

Screens in Trafalgar Square

The ‘One Year to Go’ to the London 2012 Olympic Games celebrations commenced with live images from the Olympic Park being displayed in London’s famous Trafalgar Square on two 33.6 square metre ultra bright LED displays supplied and installed by Worldwide Olympic Partner, Panasonic.

Each full colour screen will be installed on either side of a huge colourful stage where excitement from the Aquatics Centre will be shown, helping involve Londoners and the thousands of tourists that visit the location.

Director of Panasonic UK’s London 2012 Olympic Programme, Ralph Higson, commented “This is a really exciting time in the build up to the London 2012 Olympic Games and allows Panasonic to demonstrate its incredible large screen technology whilst sharing the passion of the Olympic Games with Londoners and visitors to the Square to celebrate this historic event.’’
