JD Sports adds cost to FM

Gleeds has secured a further two-year contract providing Facilities Management services to leading retail brand JD Sports Fashion plc.

Gleeds who developed a Facilities Management service offering some years ago has been providing a service desk as well as commercial cost and supply chain management to over 500 JD Sports stores since 2006.

The new contract will see JD Sports transform its service requirement to include Gleeds’ FM2 Helpdesk web-based module which will integrate with their current use of the FM2 financial and asset management models of the system. The internet based system, is described by Gleeds as being...”developed by cost managers for cost managers”, and says it aids clients to expedite informed business decisions by enabling them to share data in real time.

Mark Hughes, Group Health, Safety and Maintenance Manager for JD Sports Fashion plc commented: “Since our relationship began in 2006, Gleeds has proven that they can deliver an efficient and effective FM service desk, commercial cost as well as supply chain management solutions providing value for money in the retail sector”. He went on to say: “Our stores have confidence that the job will get done on time and to the quality demanded”.
