Jung Room Services WOW Factor to Hotel Sector

31 March 2011

Jung has developed the ideal solution for creating hotel rooms with added wow factor without the extra expense of a full guest room control system with the launch of its 2-Wire Bus Push Button Modules.

Combining Jung’s intelligent technology expertise and chic, contemporary styling, the new modules offer guests centralised switching/dimming of lights, curtains/blind controls and do not disturb indicators in a single-wall mounted unit. The unit is designed to allow insertion of a digital image of the room behind the glass switch panel, enabling the hotel guest to identify the corresponding light fitting or control quickly and easily at a glance.

Explains Barry Bilclough from Jung UK: “Hotel guests expect a high level of spec in their room but a standard lighting control can be cost prohibitive and often provides a higher level of functionality than the hotel actually requires in order to deliver the ‘wow’ factor. The new 2-Wire Bus Push Button Modules from Jung deliver that wow factor in a much simpler way and have been designed to offer a cost-effective and simple solution with a range of design options to co-ordinate with other style-conscious Jung switches and sockets.”

The Push Button Modules are connected to the relay station via a Jung 2-wire bus providing control of up to eight switching, dimming and blind control functions. Extension modules mean that the installation can be tailored to meet the requirements of individual rooms and units can be ‘cloned’ to allow multiple units with the same assigned controls within the room, enabling identical units to be placed by the door and by the bed, for example.

Barry adds: “These units are simple to install as part of any hotel build or refurbishment and are suitable for both standardised rooms and boutique hotel settings. It’s the ideal solution for sophisticated switching and dimming, giving a five star impression without a premium rate cost.”
