Le Tour Du Vin - Charity Wine Run Planned by Incentive FM

Incentive FM is organising a charity event in the Rhone wine region of Southern France to raise more than £5,000 for Myositis Support Group. Le Tour du Vin will take place between 27th and 30th July and involve up to 20 cars.

Some are travelling from the UK and others driving hire cars from Lyon (which have been organised depending on peoples preferences) to wineries in Northern and Southern Rhone.Incentive FM is looking for 40 people split into 20 teams from within the property and FM sectors to take part in the event.* Teams already attending include people from King Sturge, Cushman and Wakefield, Capital and Counties, OCS and Incentive FM.

The tour will visit seven different wineries over two days where wines from different appellations, including Crozes Hermitage and Cornas from Northern Rhone, and Vacqueyras and Chateauneuf-du-Pape from Southern Rhone, will be tasted. The tour will be eating at local bistros during the day and fine dining at the hotel near Valance in the evening which has been booked exclusively. A team competition will also run throughout that will provide some opportunities for added entertainment and amusement.

Jeremy Waud, Managing Director of Incentive FM commented: “My sister-in-law suffers from Polymyositis and has been wheelchair bound since being struck down by the disease six years ago. It is a rare and relatively unknown disease so we have selected Myositis Support Group as our chosen charity to help raise money to fund new research and provide support to sufferers and their families.”

Myositis Support Group is the only UK charity specific for the inflammatory myopathies, helping people and their families affected by Dermatomyositis, Polymyositis, Inclusion Body Myositis, and Juvenile Dermatomyositis.
