Interserve cleans up betting shops

10 March 2011

Interserve has won a multi-million, three-year contract to clean William Hill’s entire betting shop estate of 2,300 sites.

This is the first time that William Hill has outsourced the cleaning of its entire betting shop estate throughout England, Scotland and Wales.
Beginning in February 2011, Interserve now cleans over 2,300 sites throughout the UK, with William Hill benefitting from Interserve’s experience in delivering nationwide store support to retailers across the UK. It will employ over 1,500 people on the contract, managing the transfer of these from a range of employers including from William Hill itself.
"The key skills that Interserve is bringing to William Hill are our management knowledge and the systems that enable us to increase the efficiency of such a large-scale operation," said Tony Sanders, MD - Commercial at Interserve. "We’ll be maintaining the quality of service while saving the client money - and in the current economic climate, that’s a large part of what effective outsourcing is all about."
