Enhance Office Cleaning splits from Axiom Maintain

Cleaning industry expert, Sandy Aird, is to head Enhance Office Cleaning Ltd, the breakaway business from Axiom Maintain.

Sandy Aird commented: "The split is totally amicable, logical and makes good business sense. It will allow the two different businesses to go their own ways and develop separate client bases".
Axiom Maintain was formed in 1997 and will continue its success as one of the leading specialist stone, timber and carpet cleaning businesses led by founder Andrew Sargent. Enhance continues as a progressive value for money office cleaning contractor operating within the M25, with an established list of prestige clients including solicitors, financial institutions, property developers and managing agents.
With 20 years in contract cleaning at Ramoneur, MacLellan and Strand, Sandy Aird has previously had ultimate management responsibility for four operating offices, 3,500 directly employed staff and knows the business from bottom to top.
He said, "Launching Enhance gives us a fresh start and I can mould the personality of the Company into a new style of contract cleaning business. I am starting by paying the London Living Wage of £7.85/hour, not the lower rates so often paid by our competitors, which do not meet basic costs of living in the capital. Paying a fair wage will be a key factor in helping us to attract and retain the best staff. We are very proud to have received a Beacon Award on 9^th December 2010 from London Citizens for our stance on paying the London Living Wage. We are the only contract cleaner to have received such an award".
The business holds ISO 9001 (Quality Management), 14001 (Environmental Management) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management) accreditation.
Aird believes that the secret of success starts with being a good listener and then taking a detailed and informed approach to clients’ needs. He added: "Enhance will not compete with the ‘low price – low service’ or the ‘big promise - non delivery’ operators that give our profession a bad name.
