Th!nkFM Conference takes shape

27 January 2011

A radical departure from previous BIFM events, the new ThinkFM conference will be open to all FM practitioners – not just BIFM members – and offer a ‘hub’ learning approach rather than timetabled speakers and seminars.

ThinkFM offers delegates a menu of essential workshops and presentations on the theme of ‘Delivering Value in Facilities Management: Innovation and adaptation for today's economics’. There will be four core hubs from which to pick and choose to build a personalised programme. The Hub sessions will run concurrently across the venue throughout the day and each hub addresses critical issues of the day for FMs:

  • Tough Decisions for Tough Times- how communications and technology will inform and working practices in the future.
  • Future Ways of Working - how to adopt and integrate sustainable working practices
  • Sustainable Business: Actions Not Words- career development and new skills in bite sized training sessions, advice and information.
  • Professionalising FM
  • -making the most of limited resources
The line up includes keynote addresses including from Paul Morrell and Ziona Strelitz and motivational speaker, Chris Moon MBE, the ex-Army officer who, uses his experiences for losing both his legs to understand and illustrate the process of achievement which for him has involved completing most of the world's toughest ultra distance races.
Th!nkFM, 5 – 6 April 2011, East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham.
