MSS wins Thomas Cook FM

For the first time Thomas Cook has outsourced the FM for its main corporate office to one FM services provider, Managed Support Services (MSS).

The Thomas Cook Group, one of the world’s leading travel companies, has taken the decision to outsource its FM and building services to a single supplier for the first time, the three plus two year multi million pound TFM contract; which covers the company’s major occupancy buildings in the UK has been awarded to Managed Support Services (MSS), the building services and compliance specialist.
Phase 1 of the contract starts in January 2011 and covers the main corporate office sites throughout the UK including Peterborough, London, Bradford, Preston and Falkirk, phase 2 will additional building coming under the agreement over the next 12-18months.
As part of the deal MSS will provide a fully integrated FM solution covering all areas of building management including compliance and mechanical and electrical maintenance as well as cleaning, security and grounds maintenance and some 70 people will transfer to under TUPE.
