BIFM Training celebrates the first successful learner to achieve the BIFM level 4 Award in FM

BIFM Training [Quadrilect Ltd] is delighted to celebrate a first-in centre achievement and congratulate the first successful candidate to achieve the BIFM Level 4 Award - David Walker, Assistant Facilities Manager of LV=.
Since it launched the qualification in May this year, it has 50 learners enrolled, 36 of whom have already started or completed their qualification. Walker was amongst the first  to enrol and having been in his current role for a number of years he wanted to undertake some formal training in FM
This suite of qualifications provides a broad understanding of facilities management for experienced operations managers who are responsible for a range of FM functions and are also suitable for managers wishing to extend their operational activity. For the Award, David had to complete units FM4.01 Overview of FM and FM4.04 Understanding Support Services Operations for which learners attend a 3-day training programme, The Professional FM 1. He says:
Commenting on his success, Walker said ‘‘I found the tuition to be extremely useful, and good preparation for the two unit assessments that followed. The support I received whilst doing my assessments was invaluable; not only did I have access to my own personal tutor – who was at the end of the phone or email if needed – I also received clear instructions and advice and a list of links to other material which was most useful. It’s been quite some years since I’ve taken on any training like this which required written assessment and an element of homework, but on the whole it was well worth the effort.’’
BIFM Training plans to deliver BIFM Qualifications at Levels 5 and 6 in early 2011. To  register your interest email or  call on 020 7242 4141.
