EuroFM and Global FM to co-operate

An Affiliation Agreement has been signed between Global FM and EuroFM following several months of discussions on co-operation.

While at IFMA’s WorldWorkplace event in Atlanta this week, the chairmen of EuroFM and GlobalFM have reached agreement on how they will work together in future.
Commenting on the move, Wayne Tantrum, chairman of EuroFM, said, “I believe it is important that we develop strategic relationships and we believe that this will be one of those relationships.  We have been working on it for several months and it gives us a platform to develop further joint initiatives.”
As Affiliates, Global FM and EuroFM will cooperate and promote the establishment of facility management organisations that provide support the FM profession. This will involve participating in cross-promotional activities, including:
- Listing of each other’s organisation, contact information, web links, membership benefits, etc. on respective websites.
- Promotion of each other’s events, programs, conferences and related activities.
- Collaboration on activities of common interest.
- Extension of complimentary, introductory level, membership to each other’s members.
Currently EuroFM has 85 members of which 30 are national associations, 38 are  research and educational learning establishments  and 17 are corporate organisations.It reaches at least 65,000 FM professionals through its membership, conferences and publications. GlobalFM has member organisations the  USA, Australia, South America and South Africa and three in Europe - BIFM in the UK, HFMA in Hungary and Arseg in France.
