Workplaces seen first at Worktech 2010

WorkTech 2010 at th British Library in London next month will feature the first public presentation of workplace change undertaken by KPMG, Ernst & Young, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

At Worktech2010 at the British Library 15-16 November, Paul Harrington, Head of Property will outline how PricewaterhouseCoopers are shaping a new vision for More London; Alastair Young, Head of Property Europe will share how KPMG are delivering on a corporate property solution in challenging times and discuss the need to engage early with workplace stakeholders to benefit occupational time and cost; and Ernst & Young's Ralf Osswald and Julia Duggan will share their learning in the development of the Cube - an innovative new meeting space that uses leading interactive technology and supporting methodologies to deliver a unique and energising experience.
Worktech’s themes include the Hybrid Organisation, Workplace Innovation, People and Space.

Edward de Bono: Author, one of the world’s most renowned management thinkers and originator of the concept ‘Lateral Thinking’.
Charles Leadbeater: Author and leading authority on innovation and creativity. His latest book, ‘We-think: the power of mass creativity’ charts the rise of mass, participative approaches to innovation from science and open source software, to computer games and political campaigning.
Focus on Hybrid Organisations with Dave Coplin, National Technology Officer, Microsoft will talk about how a new breed of ‘hybrid organisations’ that will emerge as the success stories of the 21st century.  Philip Ross, CEO of Unwork and Cordless Group, will look at the structure of work and the work/places for hybrid organizations, focusing on the idea of activity based working enabled by a range of new concepts, from permeated presence to unified communications and collaboration (UCC). He will look at the need to respond to external forces that will reshape how and where work is done.
Focus on People and Space with Sir Christopher Frayling ex Chairman of the Arts Council and British Film Institute will take us on a journey to look at Workplace in the Movies.
Ziona Strelitz, Founder Director, ZZA will talk about Liveable Lives: addressing dysfunction in 21st century work
Sally Gunnell OBE, motivational speaker and Olympic champion, will address the conference on Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace.
Masterclasses and a ‘Growing Knowledge’ tour of a new exhibition exploring the value of new types of research space and new digital research technologies will take place in the afternoon of the 15th November. Topics include Intelligent Buildings, O2 Case study, Workspace Satisfaction, Wireless Enterprises, Future of Collaboration. More details to follow shortly.
