Emprise performs at the Royal Albert Hall

14 October 2010

Emprise has signed a three-year contract with the Royal Albert Hall. The Hall is one of London’s most distinctive architectural landmarks and hosts over a million visitors every year.

The deal, starting this month, will develop and enhance the cleaning services for this prestigious entertainment venue, which has a seating capacity in excess of 5,500.
The contract includes the provision of cleaning services for alternative entertainment areas, the main auditorium, stage, all seating areas including boxes, restaurants, function rooms and VIP areas. The back of house, administration areas and backstage areas will also be cleaned by Emprise, along with a litter-picking service around the Hall’s perimeter.
The main auditorium is used for more than 360 events each year in addition to multiple functions being held in the alternative entertainment spaces. Emprise has designed the operational delivery model to provide the Royal Albert Hall with the flexibility required in this dynamic environment by working around the events schedule, completing cleaning as and when each performance finishes.
“We chose Emprise because of the strength of its operational team and we look forward to working with them,” commented Amanda Squires, Head of Operations at the Royal Albert Hall. “During the bid process, we liked the proposal for a highly flexible operation, catering for the Hall’s ever changing scheduling requirements. Emprise proposed a delivery focus with attention to quality standards and a management and delivery team able to work around numerous high profile events.”
Commenting  on the contract award, Craig McGilvray, MD at Emprise said,  “We are delighted to have won the contract for cleaning services at the Royal Albert Hall,”. “This is a prestigious and iconic building that is a very welcome addition to our existing client portfolio in the entertainment industry. Emprise has extensive experience of operating in entertainment and public access buildings in London and across the country; we believe this knowledge will be valuable to us and our client in developing the support services delivery at the Royal Albert Hall. We are very much looking forward to working with the team at the Hall and developing an excellent working relationship over the next three years.”
